Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)

ASIST is a two-day interactive workshop on suicide intervention and first aid. ASIST is the most widely used and researched suicide intervention skills training in the world. It teaches participants to recognise when someone may have thoughts of suicide and work with them to create a plan that will support their immediate safety

Who can attend Asist?

Many professionals participate in ASIST training because suicide intervention skills are vital for their roles. Whether you’re a nurse, teacher, counsellor, police officer, first responder, or youth worker, anyone aged 16 or older can learn and apply the ASIST model. No prior experience in mental health or suicide prevention is required. Our trainers will bring expertise from diverse professional backgrounds.
