This year we turned 40 and were delighted to kick off our anniversary celebrations by launching this website. Now you are invited to join us for a week of activities taking place from 11th-15th November 2019, you can download our packed schedule here: Thrive WA Launch Week Schedule
Our official launch will start at 11:00 on Wednesday 13th November and we have some fantastic speakers to help us along the way. Please join us for this and also take the opportunity to meet our team, our supporters and most importantly, the survivors who have used our services.
Our programme contains sessions for survivors, their children and professionals and one of the highlights includes two screenings of the critically acclaimed film What Doesn’t Kill Me by Welsh director Rachel Meyrick. We’re honoured that she will be doing a Q&A session after the second screening on Monday 11th November so book your tickets via Eventbrite to secure your seat at what will be the Welsh premiere. More information about the film can be downloaded here:
If you can’t join us but would still like to support us then please donate to ensure our future in the community via our Virgin Money page.
Over the past 40 years, our beloved charity has provided a haven for women, children and young people in Neath Port Talbot, helping them to rebuild their lives and regain their independence in safe communities.
We are passionate and dedicated to our cause and we are very proud to be celebrating our 40th anniversary. We believe everyone has the right to live in safety and have a future without fear.
We don’t just help and support women in need, we help the whole family to thrive to ensure the cycle of abuse is broken for good.
Our aim is to encourage, enable and empower, as we believe that, given the right resources, everyone has the strength and capability to achieve, no matter how hard their circumstances.
Over the next year we hope that our anniversary fundraising campaign will continue to shine the spotlight on projects which are helping our local communities, sharing the voices of the women, families, supporters and staff who make up our organisation and much more. We are eternally grateful to everyone who has helped us reach this impressive milestone.
We hope you can help us celebrate our anniversary and continue to support us for the next 40 years so that we can continue to provide a consistent, safe and trusted presence for our local people.
